VersiFlex

Print on cotton with VersiFlex

Sublimation ink bonds to polyester and coated materials. VersiFlex is a different ink set for the SG500 and SG1000, which opens up cotton blends and treated items.

  • A printer of its own You do not swap VersiFlex and sublimation in one machine: you set an SG500 or SG1000 aside for it.
  • More materials Cotton blends and treated items, where sublimation ink alone will not hold.
  • Sold per colour Standard or extended capacity, cartridge by cartridge. CMY plus the expander, which takes the place of black.

SG500 or SG1000 — which one fits me?

The difference is size and how much you print. The SG500 prints up to A4 and is where most people start. The SG1000 prints up to A3 and is built for daily work. If you regularly print large or print a lot, A3 pays for itself in fewer sheets and less piecing together.

What else do I need besides the printer?

A heat press and the products you print on. Ink, S-Race paper and the software come with the set. An iron reaches neither the temperature nor the even pressure a clean transfer needs.

Can I print on cotton with this?

Not with sublimation ink: that bonds to polyester and coated materials. For cotton blends and treated items there is VersiFlex, a different ink set for the same models. It does ask for a machine of its own, as the two ink sets are not interchangeable.
