What each one is
Two parts, two jobs
One keeps the print head clean, the other keeps dust out of the machine. Both wear out, but not at the same time — so they are not a set.
Wiper unit
Keeps the print head clean
- The wiper cleans the print head so no dried ink is left on it. A clean head is what makes a sharp, even print possible.
- It wears down through ordinary use. Replacing it on time prevents nozzle clogs, banding and other print defects.
- Epson lists this part for the SC-V1000 and the SC-V2000. We only sell the V1000 as a machine, but the part fits both.
Air filter
Keeps dust out
- The filter catches dust and airborne particles, protecting the components inside while the machine prints.
- Replacing it on time keeps print quality consistent and prevents dirt on the printed surface. On hard, flat material every speck shows.
- This filter is made for the SureColor V1000 and fits that machine only.
When do you replace them?
That depends on how much the machine runs, and Epson sets it out in the documentation for the V1000. We are not going to put a number on it here that might not match your machine. What we do know: a part on the shelf costs a fraction of a day of downtime.

Does the wiper unit also fit the V2000?
Yes. The part is listed by Epson for the SC-V1000 and the SC-V2000. We only stock the V1000 as a machine, but the part fits both. The air filter is for the V1000 only. View the wiper unit
Can I order these together with ink?
Yes, they are ordinary products in the same shop, so they go in one order and ship together. View UV ink
I run a sublimation printer — are those parts here too?
