The VersiFlex Expander cartridge is an essential component of the VersiFlex ink system for Sawgrass SG500 and SG1000 printers. This 31?ml cartridge deposits a clear, bonding layer that enables Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow inks to adhere perfectly to porous substrates like cotton, wood, canvas, and uncoated ceramics—without using a black ink.
Using an innovative CMY?+?Expander formula, VersiFlex achieves full-color printing and rich blacks by blending CMY inks - eliminating the need for a separate black cartridge. The Expander adds adhesion and transparency control, so only printed areas transfer (“self-weeding”) and there’s no unwanted film residue :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}.
This cartridge is unique: it applies a functional, invisible bonding layer, making it possible to decorate natural materials with vibrant, durable results, all in a desktop system you already trust.
